How can Missouri Family to Family help right now?

We can share immediate information from someone with a lived experience on what types and varieties of services, support and benefits that blanket our state. They will share what is in your community and how to access those services.

We provide interaction between a MOF2F Information Specialist and family members to allow for system navigation, resource connection and emotional support. We help families build upon their strengths to develop action plans.

Peer mentors joined us as trained leaders who volunteer to offer lived experiences on how to use community services and resources available to people with I/DD. Peer mentors can help guide individuals toward greater self-advocacy, empowerment, and personal responsibility for their own success.
We support families to develop their advocacy and leadership skills and increase their understanding of how to bring about positive change in the life of their family member with I/DD, or their local, regional or national community.

One of our specialties is Good Life Groups: Virtual Facebook Live interactions that engage participants in learning and problem solving with peers and facilitators on specific educational and support topics.

You will also find value in our Learning Experiences/Sessions, which are educational activities created to enhance the knowledge and skills of stakeholders while providing information and instruction on how to better understand a topic or perform specific tasks.
