What Can a Family Expect From Missouri Family to Family?

Listening, understanding, and thoughtful consultation provided in a confidential manner, reinforced with useful information, support and quality training.

Within 48 hours of receiving your contact information, one of our Family Information Specialists will respond to you to hear your story so we can help you determine what information would be most helpful for your family.

Our services are also free and available to families who speak Spanish and other languages.

The support we offer includes:

  • Information and support for all ages and stages.
  • Personalized problem-solving to help you understand how to access and navigate the information and supports you and your family may need.
  • Accurate information related to your child’s disability or special health condition and how that has impacted your family.
  • Parent-to-parent connections with a trained parent “mentor” based on diagnosis, treatment, or any other criteria you need. Our Certified SOS Parent Mentors are skilled at providing information and support.
  • Access to a variety of training and information to help you increase advocacy skills, and improve your ability to work with professionals on your loved one’s needs.
  • Custom referrals to agencies, organizations, and community resources with expertise to meet your family needs.

Our staff includes family members of children with disabilities or special health care needs.
